Jóna Vestfjörð is a District Court Attorney, with extensive experience in relocation and immigration law. She has advised both individuals and employers across a broad range of industries and professions, including engineers, medical specialists, architects, and contractors working on projects for foreign embassies and projects performed under defense agreements, as well as lecturers and visiting professors. Through this work, Jóna has developed a strong understanding of the legal, practical and personal considerations involved in international relocation.
Jóna's understanding of relocation is not only professional, but also personal. As the daugther of diplomats, she spent much of her childhood moving between countries while her parents served in the foreign service and as Ambassadors abroad. Later in life, she experienced frequent relocation internationally in connection with both her own career and her husband's work. This background gives her unique insight into the realities of relocating for employment, including practical challenges that may arise during such circumstances.
Her legal advisory services extend far beyond immigration matters alone. Jóna provides strategic guidance on obtaining the appropriate work and residence permits based on the legal framework applicable to each individual position and circumstance.
